Craftsmanship, luxury, style.

Boat Test #1497

The Neptunus 625 is a handsome motor yacht that boasts traditional craftsman-ship and an impressive lineup of features. The standard layout features three staterooms forward, and a single berth crew cabin aft of the engine room can be added as an option.
Boarding from back aft, you’ll immedi-ately notice the spacious hydraulic swim platform (standard), which can accommo-date a tender up to 750 lbs. A set of steps to port and starboard lead up to the cockpit. Amidship, you’ll find a large water-tight door that leads to the engine compartment / crew cabin.
From the starboard side of the cockpit, a set of steps lead up to the enormous fly-bridge where you will find ample room for entertaining. The aft section of the extend-ed bridge features a large U-shaped lounge that could easily accommodate 8 guests. The area features Bistro style ‘high-top’ tables with fixed bar stools and built in foot rests. A refrigerator and icemaker are featured in the wet bar/ entertainment centre, and all of the counter and table tops are finished in granite.
The helm is centrally mounted (as it should be), and flanking the Captain’s chair, are two additional seats that also adjust in several directions to accommodate seated or standing position, and all three have foot rests. Neptunus offers an optional Raymarine electronics package, which features two 15” Multifunction Displays, 12 kW Radar, Raymarine I70 Multifunction Display for depth/speed, Satellite TV Antenna System, and Simrad Autopilot, just to name a few. A bow thruster is standard, a stern thruster is an option.
Forward of the helm, there is additional seating for two or three more passengers and some protection is offered from the ven-turi style windshield. While the hardtop is an option for the flybridge, it is a must have feature, in my opinion.
Down below, the salon is bright and spa-cious and features bench seating to port, and a U-shaped lounge to starboard. For enter-tainment, guests will enjoy the 42” HD LED TV, and Bose sound system.
Moving forward, the full beam galley is up two steps, and features include a central island with built in dishwasher, a separate wine cooler, and plenty of counter space and storage. A large dinette all the way forward affords everyone a panoramic view.
A curving companionway to port leads down to the three spacious staterooms, all of which are fitted with ensuite heads. The full beam master stateroom is located amidships (owners will appreciate this in heavy seas) and features a king-sized bed, two Cedar-lined hanging lockers, and plenty of drawer space. The forward stateroom features an island queen berth, and the guest cabin to starboard is fitted with a double berth, and it should also be noted that all of the en suite heads feature a separate shower stall.
Power of choice are the 1136 hp, C-18 CAT’s and according to Neptunus, these pow-er-plants will allow the 625 to cruise at an impressive 28 knots, and reach a top speed in the mid 30’s.
