Boat manufacturers are constantly coming out with new models and improvements to existing models – mostly because of customer requests or needs. Bennington is one manufacturer who listens to customer feedback. In 2021, they redesigned the exterior of their L line of pontoons, and for 2023 they have introduced 22, 23, 24, and 26 ft LX Sport models which are the top of the line in their L Series. While Bennington’s “L” series of ‘tritoons’ are available in 75 different floor plans, the LX line is new this year and has everything that is offered in the L line with even more standard and optional items available to satisfy any boaters needs.
Interesting innovations in Bennington’s pontoon boats are their elevated sliding helm seats which ensure that the driver has a clear view of tubers or skiers, while allowing for a better view with the LX’s now standard integrated docking. In addition to the sliding helm seat, the tilt steering wheel is adjustable to fit the proportions of anyone sitting at the helm and is highlighted with new chrome rocker switches on the console. A locking glove box, USB-2 and 3 charging stations, auxiliary audio output, and 12v cigarette lighter plugs are also standard features on the 22 LX Sport. Interior lighting is an available option popular with boat owners today and is available for both the interior deck as well as underwater illumination on the LX Series.
Various floor plans are available in the LX Series including a fishing model that includes four swivel seats in all four corners of the pontoon. One innovative floor plan enables dual seating capabilities by allowing users to face forward or backward depending on the position of the seat back. Recessed pop-up stainless-steel cleats are a nice touch now on the LX Series. Two tubes are standard on all LX Sport models, but three 25-inch tubes are an available option (see pricing below), or three larger diameter are also an option.
Prices for a two tube 22 LX Sport start at $82,334 USD wihtout outboard power and can run as high as $133,089 USD if you want a loaded 22-footer with triple tubes and a 200 HP Yamaha outboard.
