The Sport 172 MAX is an economical, all-around family/fishing boat offers both comfort and utility. This model lists at 17’-5” with a capacity of six people; it offers tilt steering and slider for captain’s chair, 160-watt AM/FM/Bluetooth Jensen Stereo system with two waterproof speakers, removable ski pylon, and bow rider seat cushions. Boaters will also enjoy the trailer cover, sun top with bimini canvas connected to windshield including the bimini structure, aft flip seats (RSP Combo), lockable glove box compartment on the passenger console, stainless-steel ladder, and electric motor plug.
You’ll find this model also contains over $6,000 of equipment which are usually offered as options. The Sport 172 MAX runs on an engine of 90 or 115 HP and has a built-in 91 L for it gas tank.
There is no shortage of features on the Sport 172 MAX. Hull and deck features include a 5052-H36 marine grade aluminum alloy, a reverse chine hull design, a deep self-draining splashwell, and an electric-filled aerated livewell. Both a bow raised casting platform and an aft raised casting platform are found on this model. Other standard features include anti-skid vinyl cockpit floor, marine grade carpet platforms, five cup holders, and two battery holders. Tachometer, speedometer, trim, and fuel gauges come as instrumentation.
For the fishing enthusiast, enjoy 7-foot rod storage without support and an in-floor lockable rod organizer for four rods. The trolling motor plug also offers 60 AMP protection.
Customization, however, is also noteworthy with the Sport 172 MAX. Options range from factory-installed options such as a fish and trolling package Lowrance/Motorguide to Mercury outboard engines (90 EXLPT, 115 EXLPT, or 115 EXLPT PRO XS) to standard trailers and additional accessories. You’ll also find dealer-installed options which include a seat package of a folding seat, post (11”), and seat mount with auto-lock handle; other dealer-installed options such as downrigger supports and battery switch are also available.
