Princecraft’s Ventura 220WS is a 22’ 2” foot aluminum hull deck boat with room for twelve that weighs just 2,100 pounds. One of six models in Venture line, she is the only Ventura model that comes with a windshield making the 220 WS more like a traditional bowrider.

The 220 WS hull and components are CNC cut from sheets of H36 aluminum alloy (which is 25% harder than the aluminum used in competitors boats)  and the seams are riveted together for the strongest and longest-lasting joint (the same process as used on commercials and recreational airplanes). The 83-inch wide chine width and the reverse-chine design result in performance-enhancing lift (an a blistering hole shot!), better fuel efficiency and improved agility in the turns. The entire hull is painted with a high gloss urethane High Solids paint –in white and light gray – that is of automotive quality in terms of its’ mirror finish.

The interior layout is designed to take a dozen friends out cruising, with twin facing sofa’s forward, an l-shaped dinette wrapped around a removable table to port opposite the helm chair, and a massive sunpad aft. There is a large bow platform with a storage compartment under the deck – a great spot to cast a line from.   

I’d suggest adding the wakeboard tower and or the water ski tow bar, and depending on the weight of your crew and skiers perhaps upgrading to a 200hp outboard, however the 220 WS runs amazingly well with the standard Mercury 150 Four Stroke. The lighter weight of an aluminum boat compared to fiberglass simply means that fewer horses are needed to produce the same speed. Plus the reverse chine and lighter hull make it possible to stay up down to a lower rpm.

The 220 WS offers the agility and the comfort of a sport boat with a real deep-v hull, combined with the spacious layout of a pontoon boat.
