Jeanneau’s new TH33 has a lot to offer for power-cat day boaters.
By Gregg Mansfield
Power-cat dayboats are one of the fastest-growing segments in recreational boating, and Jeanneau’s TH33 is built for the moment.
Originally created for the Four Winns brand, Groupe Beneteau decided in late 2025 to move the TH line to luxury brand Jeanneau. The brand shift makes sense as Jeanneau’s customers better align with the TH models, allowing Four Winns to focus on runabouts and watersports boats.
Jeanneau dealers are excited to add the TH33 and TH38 to the line that includes cruising powerboats and sailing yachts. Hull No. 2 under the Jeanneau brand made its debut at the 2026 Miami International Boat Show, and the French builder couldn’t wait to showcase the 10.49-meter boat with a 3.83-meter beam.
“This is an everything boat,” said Wade Clevenger, regional sales manager for Jeanneau. “This is the family boat. This is for the couple that wants the stability and safety of a large boat on a 33-foot platform.”
There are good reasons more power catamarans are showing up in local marinas. The segment combines the social layout of a deck boat with the space and stability of a catamaran.

A Wide Base
Thanks to a 3.81-meter beam, designers had lots of space for social areas on the TH33. The catamaran is accessible from a starboard transom walk-through, which leads to the galley area. With L-shaped lounges to port and starboard, Jeanneau positioned the galley midship.
The portside galley comes standard with a refrigerator, sink and trash compartment, with the option for an electric grill. Just in front of the galley is seating for two passengers with flip-up pads if the water gets rough. Jeanneau supplied a 7-inch Garmin GPS screen, a wireless phone charger and two cupholders.
The helm comes standard with a 12-inch Garmin display and buyers can add a second screen. To the left of the wheel are push-button switches, while on the gunwale is the throttle and shifter. Jeanneau offers optional electronic upgrades from Garmin including radar, VHF radio, and a deck searchlight with remote control.
Rounded lines add to the yacht-like feel of the helm, which has twin seating and flip-up bolsters.

With nearly a complete ring of seating in the bow, a table and filler cushion turns the area into a large sun pad. The seating is deep, and families with small children would feel more than comfortable running the TH33 with kids up front.
“The great thing is the floor is the same level throughout the boat,” Clevenger said. “There are no tripping hazards. It’s just one big, flat party platform.”
An electric windlass with a rode locker comes standard, making it a breeze to drop and retrieve the anchor.

Take it Below
Catamarans aren’t always known for overnight comfort. Tight cabins, split layouts and hull slap come with the territory. The TH33 brings real function to the space below deck.
A console door swings open to reveal the head in the port hull. Floating steps lead into the cabin, creating a polished look Jeanneau buyers come to expect. An opening hull window lets in lots of natural light to showcase the wood veneer and smooth gelcoat.
Jeanneau included an electric flushing freshwater toilet with a 120-liter holding tank. The sink has a Corian countertop and a pull-out shower wand. If guests would rather rinse off, they can use the cockpit shower or the bow washdown.
Jeanneau offers an optional cabin package for the starboard hull that consists of mattress, leather storage bags, a reading light, and a double USBA/C plug. The French builder finished out the cabins with Marine Mat titanium flooring and carried the flooring into the cockpit.
“It’s set up from the factory to accept a 12-volt, 8,000 (BTU) air conditioning unit if you need it to run it off some batteries,” Clevenger said.

Pairing the Power
When it comes to selecting the power for the twin-engine TH33, buyers can pick between Mercury Marine and Yamaha. With the hull rated up to 600 horsepower, Jeanneau offers twin 250-hp Mercury outboards or twin 300-hp Mercury outboards with joystick steering. Comparable configurations are offered from Yamaha with Helm Master control.
Hull No. 2, which made its U.S. debut, at the 2026 Miami International Boat Show had twin 300-hp V8 engines. Clevenger said with the combined 600 horsepower, the TH33 cruises between 48.2 and 56.32 km/h. The catamaran tops out at 45 km/h, impressive for a boat that seats 14 people and weighs more than 5,600 kg.
With a fuel capacity of 900 liters split between two tanks, it has solid cruising range for a 33-foot power cat.
Carrying it Forward
Beyond changing the nameplates on the TH33, Jeanneau updated some of the materials in the cockpit. Ultimately, corporate executives felt the boat that was launched in 2025, was a better fit for the Jeanneau brand.
While Jeanneau is a production builder, potential buyers have a few options to choose from when it comes to the mating and upholstery. Flooring for the swim platform and cockpit is available from Marine Mat or Irodeck. A sunshade is an option for the bow.
JL Audio suppliea the sound for the TH33. Jeanneau offers an audio upgrade package that includes two amplifiers, and additional speakers. Underwater lights add a nice nighttime touch at the docks.
With the TH33 aimed at young families or couples looking for a 33-foot boat they can operate themselves, Jeanneau has created a power cat that feels larger than the numbers on the spec sheet. Whether it’s a day on the water with the kids or a romantic getaway, Jeanneau’s TH33 delivers.
