Jeanneau makes a line of seven different cabin cruisers from 24 to 41 feet in length, and we here at Power Boating Canada decided to take a look at their their NC 695 model, which at 24 ft 6 inches in length, is their smallest entry level model.
A triple glass door slides together to provide easy access to the boat’s interior where a single helm chair is to starboard and a large U shaped dinette seating area is found on the port side suitable for four adults to sit, or two adults and four kids to sit and eat at the dining table. The dining table will drop down and with the addition of a removable foam pad, there is sleeping room for two on the dining seating.Â
The helm chair is comfortably padded with a flip up bolster for the captain to stand and lean against if desired, while a full compliment of engine instruments plus a Lowrance 7-inch chartplotter are visible for monitoring your position on the water, plus engine rpms, fuel burn, etc. When docking or maneuvering in tight places, the Jeanneau 695 has a bow thruster, an item not normally found on a boat this size but is included as standard equiptment on all seven Jeanneau models.
A roof hatch in the center of the NC 95’s hardtop allows for the free flow of air into the cabin area, while down below in the bow, the V-berth will sleep two adults, and has an enclosed plumbed head for privacy when nature calls.
