The sun was shining, and spirits were high this past weekend as the annual Orillia In-Water Boat Show returned to the Port of Orillia from June 13 to 15. With perfect weather and an exciting mix of displays and activities, the three-day event brought thousands to the waterfront for a celebration of boating, summer, and family fun.

Hosted by the Orillia and District Chamber of Commerce, the show transformed the picturesque Port of Orillia into a bustling hub of activity. Attendees were treated to stunning in-water displays from top marine brands, including Pride Marine, Crates Lake Country, Maple Leaf Marina, On Your Way Marine, McGregor on the Water, Boat Warehouse, SWS Muskoka, UMS Boats and Bridgeport Marina. Boating enthusiasts had the chance to step aboard and explore everything from luxury cruisers to sporty personal watercrafts, while others simply enjoyed dreaming of their next adventure on the water.

“The show was a tremendous success thanks to the nine boat dealers who participated with over 100 boats on the dock ready for sea trials,” said Allan Lafontaine, Executive Director of the Orillia & District Chamber of Commerce. “The annual show is the largest in-water boat show in Ontario, and we had tremendous traffic on the docks this weekend.”

“With 2 years of construction to improve our waterfront but impacting the show, we came roaring back and expect the success of this year’s show will have more dealers making the show part of their plan for 2026.” Lafontaine continued. “Orillia is in the hub of central boating, and we draw visitors from both GTA and Muskoka. We had other dealers checking the show out who plan on participating next year due to the success.”

“The event has been going on for 35 years strong and with the return of warm weather it is a great place to do a water test and make your final decisions. With the summer ahead it is also a great way for the dealers to meet those on the market for a new or used boat.”

Beyond the docks, visitors found even more to explore. A sprawling vendor market offered artisan goods, marine accessories, and homegrown products, creating a lively shopping experience. Families flocked to the kids’ zone, operated by Moonwalk Entertainment, where $15 bracelets gave children unlimited access to bouncy castles, obstacle courses, and games that kept them smiling all afternoon.

Live music provided the soundtrack for the weekend, with local acts performing at the upgraded waterfront park, which also featured picnic spots, playgrounds, and a sandy beach—ideal for a Father’s Day outing. A wide selection of food vendors ensured no one left hungry, serving up summer favourites like poutine, gourmet burgers, and frozen treats.
