Power Boating Magazine Takes Centre Stage at Luxury Supercar Event

Lovers of powerboats, supercars, luxury experiences and everything in-between will experience a major multi-day event this September, as the Niagara 5000 luxury event takes place in Niagara Falls on Sep. 18 and 19.
Power Boating Magazine will be an official partner for the two-day event, with a 47-foot high-performance Fountain pace boat displayed alongside exotic supercars during a free Supercar Showcase and Parade in Niagara Falls on Friday, Sep. 18.
Founder and CEO Alana Hurov calls Niagara 5000 the “best of both worlds”, bringing together top sponsors (like GTA Exotics, Ducati of Toronto, Fallsview Casino Resort and many more) for a luxury experience like no other.
“Our vision has always been about the ‘wow factor’,” Hurov says. “We’re bringing together worlds of innovation. It’s something that’s never been done before.” She wants global attention on Niagara Falls, built on a premise nobody has tried.
To that end, the Fountain pace boat will appear on Sep. 18 at the Exotics Car Festival, where Niagara 5000 closes a stretch of the Niagara Parkway in front of the Falls. The Supercar Parade will be led by Grand Marshal Melanie Villeneuve, daughter of Canadian Formula One legend Gilles Villeneuve, ahead of the world premiere of Villeneuve: The Rise of a Legend at the Toronto International Film Festival later that day.
“On Saturday, Niagara 5000 takes over Niagara District Airport, closing the airport for the day and transforming it into an immersive luxury showcase with private aviation and supercar showcases, live demonstrations, fashion, food and live entertainment.
Niagara 5000’s vision supports efforts to bring a true “luxury experience” to Niagara Falls, bringing together luxury brands and experiences that rarely share the same stage, including Ducati Club of Toronto, Sotheby’s, Blancpain and Bahamas Tourism. Guests can race a car and take a flight in the same afternoon.  “Anything you can imagine in the luxury space, we have it,” says Hurov.
Tickets are more than 80% sold for the event, with 100% of proceeds from Saturday’s events going to McMaster Children’s Hospital, with a $30,000 fundraising goal. “This is a big philanthropic element to the event,” Hurov says. Power Boating Magazine will also support the effort with a charity auction for a pair of exclusive 30-minute rides aboard the Fountain pace boat during the Hangar Experience.
Air Canada, Bombardier, Tesla, TD, Maserati of Toronto, Niagara Parks and Fallsview Casino Resort are some of the other sponsors taking part in this year’s event, which will include with a high-profile Masquerade Party overlooking the Falls on Saturday evening.
