More people in Ontario use their boats to fish than for any other single activity.
The 2015 Ontario Fishing Regulations – download a digital copy here – is an annual guide to the rules and regulations for recreational fishing in Ontario. It contains information about recreational fishing licences, open seasons and catch limits, as well as up-to-date fishing regulations for each fishing zone.
You’ll also need your Ontario Outdoors Card and a Fishing Tag to legally fish in Ontario, with two exceptions: Licence-Free Fishing Days Feb 14-16 and July 4th to 12th, 2015. These dates are designed to help attract new individuals and families to the sport of fishing without cost.
