Sculpted into Lake Simcoe’s Big Bay Point, 45 minutes from the Greater Toronto Area, Friday Harbour is a resort community that infuses fun with relaxation, creating an invigorating blend of natural greenery and urban amenity.
Friday Harbour encompasses 600 magnificent acres on Big Bay Point in Innisfil where excavation of the basin for the largest new inland marina in North America is now complete and the marina has been flooded. When complete, the marina will have up to 1,000 boat slips, adding four kilometres of new internal shoreline. This is the master-plan being brought to fruition by industry leaders Earl Rumm (Geranium Corporation) and Mark Silver (Optus Capital Corporation), with new partners Marc Muzzo (Pemberton Group) and Jim V. De Gasperis (Condrain Group), both successful housing industry businesspeople.
A vibrant waterfront village will become the all-season destination for fun and leisure and the hub of activity for Friday Harbour residents and boaters alike.  A variety of boutiques, galleries and restaurants will line the harbour’s boardwalk and an outstanding entertainment program of live music, festivals, farmers’ markets and outdoor events is planned.
Now taking shape, the 18-hole championship golf course by Carrick Design is being sculpted with material excavated from the marina, changing a relatively flat landscape into a terrain of dips and ridges with holes suited to players of all abilities. The course will be built to achieve Audubon International environmental standards. When the 40-acre marina is complete and ready to flood this fall, 1.8 million cubic metres of soil will have been removed to the golf course location.
A 200-acre nature preserve is set aside for future generations. Seven kilometres of trails will wind through this natural wildlife habitat, offering opportunities for hiking, walking, snow shoeing and cross-country skiing.
Friday Harbour will feature a year-round Lake Club with fitness, spa, business centre, outdoor firepit and patio bar. A seasonal beach & tennis club with large sandy beach will add to the roster of summer fun.
Sales of the luxurious condominium suites now exceed 100 in the first two phases. The range of resort residences includes Boardwalk Condominium suites in the heart of the village and Harbour Flats nestled behind. Prices range from the mid-$200s to the mid-$600s.  Later this spring, Marina and Island Towns priced from the $700s will be released for purchase.
