will be hitting Canadian waters this season with the
2006 Tournament 225. With its durable construction and
plentiful appointments, there’s nothing this 22-footer
(centerline) won’t be able to tackle at the cottage
this year.
The 225, which is just one of several models in the
company’s long line of center consoles and walkarounds
ranging from 17 to 36 feet, boasts several quality-set
construction features to ensure seasons of use. In addition
to its 100 percent hand-laid fibreglass construction
to offer a thicker laminate and uniform thickness, all
models utilize a precision-cut stringer system. The
hull is then glassed when its still in the mould to
retain a precise shape and offer the utmost durability
and stiffness. Added strength is provided by sprayed-in
foam between the stringers.
But there are many other impressive features above deck
as well. The expansive, self-bailing cockpit boasts
a fold-away bench aft, deluxe helm and companion chairs
forward and more comfortable seating in the bow. A sleeper
seat to port in the cockpit is available as an option.
Some other ideal appointments include a large safety
glass windshield, cockpit shower, 12 drink holders,
52-quart bow fish box, 175-quart stern fish box, four
rod holders, a portable head, plus six horizontal rod
storage racks.
