The Bottom Line (20-2)
by Steve Horsfall
Steve HorsfallI would like to find the best way to restore the lustre of a 21-foot aluminum cabin cruiser. The bottom paint on the blue lower area and white upper area need to be polished up.

INTERIOR DESIGNS
I recently bought a 17-foot 1989 Thundercraft bowrider. It needs a new carpet and seats.
The colour scheme is blue and white and the seats are the back-to-back style, which drop down to a lounge. Do you have any suggestions about what type of carpeting and style of seats or upholstery to get and where I can find them?

SHIFT WORK
I have recently purchased a 1990 Force 50 hp outboard that pops into neutral at full throttle. After moving the adjusting rod down a foot by lengthening the rod approximately 1/8-inch, the engine would not go into reverse. In addition, the shift does not appear to be functioning properly. I have to pull it back past the 12 o'clock position so it will disengage and then return it to the 12 o'clock position for neutral. Can you please advise what the problem might be? Especially when the engine pops out of gear?
