An all-new heavy water powerhouse with all the frills
to tackle the sometimes harsh marine environment.
Fishing
and cruising big water just got a little easier with
the introduction of Hydra-Sports Vector 2500 VX. This
is a new model for 2005 and reflects the same quality-set
appointments found on other models in the Vector family.
For starters, the 2500 is constructed with an integral
fiberglass grid system filled with high-density foam
to provide durability and added flotation. In addition
to the hull being hand-laminated with a durable gelcoat
finish, it sports Kevlar reinforcement with woven roving
in the lamination process. Its grid system is bonded
to the hull and deck with a strong methacrylate structural
adhesive, providing stiffness and strength. It even
dampens sound. The transom is also an integral part
of the grid system and distributes the load evenly throughout
the boat. In all, the Vector 2500 VX is built to last.
Enter the cockpit of this heavy water hitter and you’ll
find a spacious and fully-functional layout. Seating
includes a fold-up port side lounge seat plus a standard
fold-up bench across the transom. Directly behind this
bench is a large self-draining fish box. No matter what
side of the 2500 you’re fishing on, you’ll
appreciate the benefits of the lockable rod racks, coaming
bolsters and built-in rod holders, located aft and mid-ships.
Just behind the helm seat is an insulated 26-gallon
baitwell with a light and high capacity pump, while
a large fishbox/cooler is slightly forward to port.
The helm will offer a delightful ride whether you’re
in the rough or cruising on calm mornings. There’s
an aluminum wheel with hydraulic steering, full instrumentation,
Ray Marine 53 VHF radio, compass and a premium canvas
helm cover. There’s also a foot rest, stereo remote
and large safety-glass windshield.
Immediately beside the helm is a bi-folding door that
leads down into the 2500’s cabin. With its dinette
table, V-berth custom moulded acrylic soft touch headliner
with overhead lighting, a self-contained head and even
12 V lighting, you’ll feel like you’re in
a much larger vessel than a 24-foot walkaround. More
lighting is provided by the opening deck hatch and other
highlights include ample storage for gear or boating
essentials, a sink and moulded counter top.
With too many more standards and highlights to mention,
all we can say is check out the Vector 2500 VX this
year. You’ll love its robust profile and vast
array of appointments for comfortable cruising and fishing
in good or inclement weather. |
