Power Hungry
For
those days when you need just a little more power, Honda
offers its EU3000is gas inverter generator. Powered
by Honda's GX200 OHV four-stroke 6.5 hp engine offering
a maximum AC output of 2800 watts, the unit is lightweight,
compact and has a dry weight of 129 pounds. The EU3000
features what Honda calls the Eco Throttle system, an
automatic, load-dependant electronic governor that continuously
matches engine speed to the exact electrical load requirements.
This is said to result in less operating noise, longer
running operation without refuelling and lower fuel
consumption. Combine its two-layer soundproof construction,
and the unit provides whisper-quiet operation. Another
highlight is the Oil Alert function that shuts the engine
down if the oil drops below a safe operating level.
You'll also enjoy the benefits of the Automatic Voltage
Regulation, which protects power tools or electric motors
from surges or dips by monitoring output voltage to
ensure consistent, low fluctuation output. The EU3000
also meets EPA standards.

Easy Oil Change
The
Pela 2000 oil extractor is designed to make oil changes
quick and easy. By simply pumping the unit five to ten
times, the oil extractor creates a vacuum that causes
the oil to flow out of the engine and into the reservoir,
says the company. Built-in float switches are even featured
to automatically stop the flow of oil after reaching
the maximum capacity. The unit is available in three
different sizes.

Keep The Music Pumping
Poly-Planar's
new ME-50 audio amplifier allows one person to crank
the music above decks, while not disturbing someone
sleeping below in the cabin. When connected to the company's
MRD60 stereo, the unit acts as a zone amplifier that
operates separately from the stereo normal volume, says
the company. Multiple amplifiers can be attached to
the stereo and provide sound for various places on board
your vessel. The ME-50 offers 25 watts per channel and
is capable of powering up to four additional speakers.
It also comes with a waterproof remote with a 10-foot
cable and measures 4.15 x 1.5 x 4.75 inches.
