Smoker Craft 192 Millentia by Steve Fennell

Smoker Craft is no stranger to the boating industry. For three generations the Smoker family has been offering recreational boaters a full range of quality fibreglass runabouts, pontoon boats and aluminum fishing models. This year, the Indiana-based builder continues to please Canadian fishermen with its 192 Millentia, an 18-footer combining a spacious cockpit with an abundance of useful fishing features.

Enter the 192 and it's not hard to notice the impressive transom area. The large aft platform provides enough space for a pedestal chair, a 30-gallon lighted, aerated, recirculating livewell with timer, plus ample storage. More pedestal mounts are found just forward to accommodate the three standard swivel seats.

Smoker Craft 192 MillentiaLighted rod holders are found port and starboard, while more storage space is located in the in-floor locker and underneath the passenger console. The console's glove box can conceal keys or sunglasses. To starboard is well-organized helm boasting full instrumentation plus a compass and tilt steering. When the waves pick up, the whole forward section is protected by the large walk-through windshield, which also provides easy access to the bow.

Like the cockpit, the bow boasteverything required for serious fishing excursions. A pedestal mount, another aerated recirculating, lighted livewell with timer, plus an electric motor panel are just a few of the amenities.

The 192's 40-gallon fuel tank means you can cruise out where the big fish are and, once there, little extras such as the three battery compartments, motor tilt switch and fishermen's top will make the experience that much more comfortable. The gunnels are reinforced to support downriggers. On the way home, enjoy the AM/FM/CD stereo. Four six-inch, pop-up cleats provide convenient docking.

With the 192's long standard list, some notable options include side and aft curtains, a walk-through curtain, a bow and mooring cover.

In the power department, the 192 offers a maximum rating of 175 hp, which is ideal when fishing larger bodies of water. Several power options are also available to suit your lake, or your fishing lifestyle. To enhance your experiences, check out other handy products such as a depth finder or trolling motor.

The 192 is also available with a Shoreland'r trailer to visit other lakes or hot spots. But no matter what you choose, the 192 is a complete vessel on its own, offering the space you need for fishing or other guest plus all the gear once you settle along your favourite lake.

If you can't make the shows this winter, make a point to drop by a dealer for a glance. Or simply check out Smokercraft on line at www.smokercraft.com.
