Fountain will continue to impress offshore fishermen
for the 2004 season with its recently introduced 38
LX.
According to Fountain, they have taken some of its
most popular and proven fishing, cruising and performance
features and combined it into one astonishing package.
Riding
on a twin step super-ventilated positive lift hull
with a notched transom pad keel design, the 38 offers
the performance, quick planing and superb handling
as you would expect. Add the triple 225 Mercury OptiMax
outboards and you're guaranteed speeds of 60-plus
mph.
Cockpit highlights include ample deck space and several
ideal features including a 50-gallon circulating livewell,
twin 150-quart fishboxes, rod holders, rocket launchers
plus a transom door. The helm comes complete with
full instrumentation, a GPS speedometer plus an electronic
and dual electric bolster/leaning post.
Down below the cabin houses a full galley with a microwave,
sink and even a refrigerator/freezer. Opposite is
a spacious enclosed head with Corian countertops,
a shower and vaccu-flush toilet. Users will also appreciate
the 6'5Ó of headroom.
For a good night's rest the forward berth is large
and includes a wrap-around sofa that can seat five
comfortably.
