William E. Taylor THE FEVER IS BACK!

Across the country, power boaters are getting ready to experience a season that is rapidly shaping up to be one of the best summers yet. Over the past few months, dealerships from coast to coast have reported impressive sales. Marina operators have been overwhelmed by the demands of an incredible number of boaters, each feverishly anxious to head out on the water.

To help maintain the velocity of the months to come, I take great pleasure in presenting you with another action- and information-packed issue. Thanks to the continued and growing support of more than 40,000 valued Canadian readers, as well as the majority of North America's leading marine industry members, this magazine has earned a reputation as the nation's leading voice of recreational power boating.

Every issue contains invaluable advice, provided by Canada's top power boat columnists and test writers. In addition, our roving staff of reporters keep you abreast of the latest news and boater-friendly products.

We've got the latest scoop on Bombardier's proposed sale of its Recreational Products Division as well as the company's co-op launch with Genmar of a new Backwater Fishing School (a comprehensive sportfishing course geared to both seasoned pros and novices).

What's more, editor Steve Fennell and long-time contributor Bill Jennings recently braved the waters of the Atlantic Ocean to conduct a series of diesel engine tests. This is the first of a two-part series highlighting some of the most efficient powerhouses on the market. Our exclusive wakeboard boat feature showcases a selection of hot models designed for high-flying excitement.

As a bonus, we've added a few pages featuring some of the top-quality and most practical sport-related gear available. Combined with a PWC spotlight, on-water tests, an exciting feature focusing on Lake Ontario's Bay of Quinte, and lots more, Power Boating Canada magazine is, without argument, one of the best value-added reader-driven magazines available.

Enjoy a safe, fun-filled power-full boating season. (Top)
