Monterey Boats Opens Multi-Million Dollar Plant
Williston, Florida-based
Monterey Boats Inc. recently opened a multi-million dollar manufacturing
plant with 130,000 square feet of production space.
According to Charles Marshall, Monterey co-owner,
the company plans to use the additional capacity to expand its model
line-up by adding multiple new models each year. This year, the
new boats include the 188 and 218LS Montura Bowriders.
Lou Vazquez, director of sales and marketing,
said three or four new 2001 models will be introduced at dealer
meetings in August. The 282 Cruiser, unveiled in February at the
Miami International Boat Show, will be available for dealer order
at those meetings.
Monterey's line-up ranges from 18 to 32 feet,
including bowriders, cuddy cabin models, cruisers and open deck
boats.
